EZGEL Under-Eye Study

Participant Recruitment

The Kian Aesthetic Institute is recruiting qualified adults for a prospective study evaluating EZGEL for the treatment of under-eye hollowness. Participation involves multiple in-office visits in Los Angeles over approximately 24 weeks. Enrollment is limited.

Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment. Eligible candidates will be contacted for screening.

Who May Participate

This study follows the same general eligibility criteria as our previous EZGEL study with two clarifications that apply to this protocol:

  • No prior history of dermal filler implantation in the periorbital (under-eye) area.

  • No microneedling, botulinum toxin, dermabrasion, or mesotherapy in the upper face within the last 6 months.

Study Duration

This study runs 24 weeks and includes 8 in-office visits spaced 2–4 weeks apart.

Inclusion Criteria

Male or non-pregnant female, 22+ years Reliable contraception if applicable Moderate–severe under-eye hollowness No planned weight change >10% Willing to avoid other procedures in area

Exclusion Criteria

Uncontrolled chronic/serious disease Employees or immediate family of investigator Unable/unwilling to follow protocol Skin disease in periorbital region affecting eval Uncontrolled systemic disease Investigational drug/device in past 30 days Keloids/hypertrophic scars/pigment disorders Connective tissue disease Prior upper-face surgery or non-absorbable augmentation Bleeding disorder or blood thinners (10d pre–3d post) Any prior under-eye fillers Upper-face microneedling/Botox/dermabrasion/mesotherapy < 6 months Tattoos/piercings/scars blocking periorbital view Abnormal vision assessments Noncompliance risk (e.g., substance dependency)

Patients Will Be Compensated For Participating:

$50 for each in-office visit completed & $10 for each phone call completed.

Treatments provided are a $2,500 value.

What to Expect

  • Screening will confirm eligibility, review consent, and establish baseline photographs.

  • Treatments and assessments are performed by or under the supervision of Dr. Kian Karimi.

  • Standardized photography and safety/efficacy evaluations will occur at each visit.

  • Participants must avoid other aesthetic procedures in the treatment area for the study duration.
    Missed visits may affect eligibility to continue.
